LIFE DRAWINGS
To me, drawing feels safer than talking. As far as I can tell, humans have two layers of insecurity. The first layer is the one you inherit from your family, that you’re not as good as other people for whatever reason. If you grow past that, you’re left with the more objective insecurity of the human condition. We are all inadequate to understand the bigger forces that move our lives. I try to honor imperfection in people by distorting their body proportions. This shows their helplessness against their environment and the unique beauty that results in how they respond to this with what they were given at birth.
